Study Room Use Policy
The Hunt Library has twelve study rooms with four located on each of the three floors. The study rooms are for the exclusive use of active ERAU-affiliated students, faculty, or staff for individual or small group study purposes.
The rooms are various sizes. The smallest will accommodate one or two people comfortably, while the others will accommodate up to six people.
All rooms require sign-up. There is a sign-up sheet on the door of each room.
Procedures:
- Sign-up for up to two hours on the sheet on the door by writing your name in the time slot available. (If you do not sign-up and others do, you will be asked to vacate the room.)
- Be courteous to others and limit use to two-hour blocks per day.
- Sign-up may be done in advance for the week that is posted.
- The reservation is honored for five minutes after the start of the reserved time. Another group or individual will be allowed to use the room at the end of the grace period.
- The room must be vacated at the end of the scheduled time so that the next group can use it.
- If the room is occupied and it is time for the next signed-up group to use the room, alert the occupants that their time is up or ask for assistance in Media Services or at the Circulation Desk.
- Students working on class-related assignments have priority.
- For the safety of all patrons, Safety Officers and library staff will monitor the study rooms on a regular basis.
Markers and erasers for the white boards may be checked out at the Circulation Desk or the Media Services Department with a valid Eagle card.
Non-active ERAU-affiliated patrons, such as alumni, community patrons, or visitors, are welcome to use the individual study carrels or other public areas located on all three floors of the library.
Faculty who need meeting space for class groups on a regular basis should discuss their needs with their department chair, or utilize ERAU Rooms and Resources under the Software tab in ERNIE.
