How We Can Assist You

The Hunt Library offers email and telephone reference service for Embry-Riddle Worldwide and Worldwide Online students, faculty, and staff. This service provides access to the staff and collections of the Hunt Library whether you are attending or teaching classes at Campuses worldwide, or through Worldwide Online.

Reference Librarians are available to assist you with any aspect of your research. They will assist you in doing research and locating books, journal articles, documents, and other materials either in the Library's physical collection or through one of its many web-based electronic databases and resources. There are eleven librarians who provide service to the Worldwide community. All of the librarians have completed advanced study in librarianship and have undergone specialized training in aviation and aerospace information sources. We can help you locate the resources and services you need.

Find Books

If books are relevant to your topic, we will point you to our online catalog, Voyager. After using Voyager to identify the materials you need, you can check out up to five (5) items at one time. The books will be mailed to you.

If you want to view the table of contents of a book in order to determine if it is pertinent to your research, you may use our Table of Contents (TOC) Service. See our Voyager Instructions for further details on searching Voyager and requesting the items you want.

Find Articles

If you need journal, magazine, or newspaper articles, we will assist you in using our databases. Many of the databases contain complete (full-text) articles which you can access directly from the database. The other web databases provide you with citations and abstracts. Once you identify items from these databases, you can download the citations and send the file to library@erau.edu. The Database Online Instructions will guide you through this process of searching the databases and requesting articles.

Retrieving Full-Text Articles

After Reference Services receives the list of the articles you want, we will scan the materials we own, post them on the web as PDF files, and E-mail you instructions for how to access them. For details on how we deliver documents via the web, see Web Document Delivery.

Other Resources

The Reference Librarians are also familiar with web resources, local libraries near you, and other sources that may be helpful. In short, we will direct you to the resources that best meet your research needs.
