Overdue/Lost Material Policy
Patrons are responsible for any borrowed items from the date the borrower receives them until they are received back at the Hunt Library. The date the borrowed materials are due is written in the back of each book and on the book sleeve attached to each item. It is the responsibility of the borrower to keep track of due dates and ensure the items are returned on time.
Overdue notices will be sent by email two days after the materials are due. If you have not returned your books within 21 days after the due date, the books are considered lost. The replacement cost of the book plus a $15.00 processing fee will be charged to your University account at this time. If the books are returned after being placed in lost status, the borrower may be charged the $15.00 processing fee to cover administrative costs.
Borrowing privileges may be suspended for students, faculty and staff when $100.00 is owed in overdue fines or replacement costs, if recalled items are not returned promptly, or other abuses occur.
If you have questions about borrowing materials, please contact us. We will be happy to assist you.
