Web Access

You can reach the Hunt Library's web pages located at http://library.erau.edu or the library's Worldwide web pages at http://library.erau.edu/worldwide/ from any web browser. These pages provide links to the online catalog, Voyager, along with instructions and links to the online indexes and databases (through ERNIE). Both sets of pages contain important and valuable information about resources for research.

The Hunt Library will supply books, government documents, and journal articles at no charge if they are part of the ERAU library collection. Send all requests to library@erau.edu paying special attention to the requested item's citation information. Books will arrive with due dates and instructions for returning them.

Remember, when ordering books or articles please provide as much citation information as possible.

For example, the citation may include:

  • Title of publication/article
  • Author
  • Journal title (if applicable)
  • Date of publication (vol., issue & page number for journals)
  • Publisher (for books)
  • Call number (for books, if available)

Borrowing Privileges

Currently enrolled students may borrow up to five items from the Hunt Library at a time, depending on their availability. Voyager, the online catalog, will identify books, conference proceedings, etc., that may be of interest to you. If you are visiting the Daytona Beach campus, you may obtain a borrower’s card by presenting a photo ID and proof of ERAU enrollment. Please call ahead for information on library hours. Stop by the reference desk and identify yourself as an Worldwide student. You will be assisted in obtaining a library card.

At the Hunt Library

Books/Documents

The Hunt Library has an extensive collection of books (95,000) which include many conference proceedings, as well as an extensive collection of U.S. government and technical documents. The book collection covers all subject areas with an emphasis on aviation/aerospace materials.

Periodicals / Microforms

The Hunt Library receives about 650 current periodical subscriptions and has at least partial coverage of over 1300 different titles. The library also has over 296,000 pieces of microform in its collection. Periodical holdings are accessible through Voyager, and online databases are available on the library's web page. Delivery of periodical articles and documents is available through the Hunt Library Document Delivery Service.

Videos/DVDs

The Hunt Library maintains a collection of over 4000 DVDs and videos, all of which are available for circulation to faculty, campuses, and staff. The collection covers all subject areas, and may be used to supplement classroom activities. The video/DVD holdings are accessible through Voyager, the online catalog (http://voyager.db.erau.edu).

Research Assistance

Contact the Hunt Library reference staff for assistance in locating information to support your coursework. A reference librarian will assist you with advice on research strategies, selection of indexes/databases, or referrals to relevant reference sources.
